Nimble fingers make nimble minds. The
small child grasps the world through its fingers and in doing so, discovers the
world. |

Between the ages 3 to 6, children are governed by will and learn
by doing.
The Tridha Kindergarten provides a secure and intimate atmosphere
where "Teacher" is like a mother to the children. Their days are filled with
artistic and practical work, imaginative play and outdoor play, singing and circle
games, puppetry and fairy tales. The rhythmic repetition of these activities
strengthens and nourishes the children. The beauty, logic and purpose of what they
see and do imbue them with order and harmony. Seasonal and festive celebrations
bring the wonder of nature and the spiritual to them. |

Children love nature. The trees, animals, streams,
butterflies and so on. Steiner teachers strive to deepen this in such a way that it becomes a
foundation for both the scientific and the practical approach to nature, just as we
treat a friend with care, especially if we are crucially dependent on that friend
for our well-being.
When we put children under pressure to grow up too
quickly, we rob them of the chance to develop qualities that are essential and
unique to their age. The fast paced society we know today has little awareness of or
respect for the needs of children. Education is therefore called upon to create
spaces where children can truly experience their childhood. By doing so, the
qualities which contribute to creative independence in adulthood are nurtured and
enhanced. |
